Terms of service

Last updated September 16, 2026

These terms apply to your use of northpeak.dev and to the free code checkup and free development plan we offer through it. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What this site is

northpeak.dev is NorthPeak's public website. It describes our services and lets you ask us for a free checkup or plan. It is not the NorthPeak client application, which lives at app.northpeak.dev and has its own terms.

If you hire NorthPeak, the work is governed by a separate written agreement between you and NorthPeak. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement wins.

Free checkup and free development plan

When you request a checkup or a plan, we'll review what you send us and reply with our honest assessment. A few things to understand:

  • The checkup and plan are informational. They are our opinion, not a guarantee of any result.
  • We may decline a request, or ask for more information before we can help.
  • A plan is an estimate based on what you've told us. Actual scope, timing, and price are set in a signed agreement, not by the plan.
  • Requesting a checkup or plan doesn't create a client relationship or any obligation to hire us.

Your submissions

Anything you send us through the site or by email stays yours. By sending it, you give NorthPeak permission to use it for the purpose of reviewing your request and replying to you. You confirm that you have the right to share it, including any code or credentials, and that sharing it doesn't break an agreement you have with someone else.

Please don't send us passwords or production credentials through a form or email. If we need access to a system, we'll agree on a safe way to do that.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site or forms to send spam, malware, or content that is unlawful or abusive
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting, or any related systems
  • Scrape the site in a way that disrupts it, or use automated tools to flood our forms
  • Misrepresent who you are or who you're acting for

Our content

The text, design, graphics, and code of northpeak.dev belong to NorthPeak or its licensors. You may view and share links to the site freely. You may not copy, republish, or reuse the site's content or design without our written permission, other than as permitted by law.

Disclaimer

The site and everything on it, including checkups and plans, are provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise the site will always be up, error-free, or suited to your particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, NorthPeak is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from a free checkup or plan. Our total liability to you for anything related to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what information we collect on this site and how we use it. It is part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms or the site will be handled in the courts located in Alabama.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
